Race for the Cure

Today we did the race for the cure breast cancer walk for my brother's wife Nolana. It was amazing to see all the suvivors. Nolana raised $2540.00 for the cause by herself, she placed fifth in Sacramento!!! She made the walk with us 1 1/2 weeks off of chemo... heres a picture of her (number 1845 on her chest) with the other 0-1 year suvivors, and us as a group.

News from Darlene

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently accepted the challenge to raise contributions to support the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure® on May 10, 2008 in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Please join me in the promise to end breast cancer by supporting my participation in the Race. Please do your part by contributing generously to the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in Sacramento Valley and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make a contribution online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. Whatever you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!Sincerely,Follow This Link to visit my personal web page and help me in my efforts to support Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure******************************************************************************Some email systems do not support the use of links and therefore this link may not appear to work. Happy Birthday, March Babies

Tom here. Here's an idea to try to get some folks to participate on the blog and most importantly to get some pictures posted. Here are the folks with birthdays in March.

5 Suzy March *
7 Damien Ponton
8 George Ladouceur
6 Rita Bigelow
12 Wilfred Daoust
13 Bernard Daoust Jr.
20 Jon Keville Jr.
22 Jessica Bigelow
23 Frank DiMartino *
30 Judith Darling
30 Melissa Ponton

(Key: * = picture has appeared this month)

Let's see a picture of each person at least once during the month. This would be a nice way to celebrate family, both living and passed on. I am probably missing some birthdays, so feel free to post any I missed.

BTW, if anyone objects to having their name or birthday posted here, please let me know. I will remove it.

Maybe we will do this in April, then May, then June...
